Michael Raimondi
(Founding Artistic Director) is a recent transplant to Seattle from New York City where he decided to make his dream of starting a theatre company with a philanthropic mission, a reality. He is elated to be producing, directing, and acting with Play Your Part, serving as the Founding Artistic Director, while continuing to work in film and television. Michael has gained valuable business experience working in sales and marketing for the largest supplemental education company in the country for over a decade, while continuing to hone his craft as a director and actor. Directing credits include: The Sixties Project (Goodspeed), Carmina Burana (Columbia Chorale of Portland), Lysistrata, Miss Saigon, The Crucible, Our Town, TheCompletWrksofWillmShakspear (abridged), A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Duchess of Malfi, The Cherry Orchard, On The Town, Noises Off!, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Tall Tales from: The Kentucky Cycle, The Stonewater Rapture, Everyman, Prometheus Bound, Naomi in the Living Room, The Mask of Hiroshima, Zim vs. Gorloc (52nd Street Project),and several more New York premieres of original work. Formerly, Executive Director for Homunculus Mask Theatre in New York City, Michael produced the original piece Homunculus: Reloaded, and collaborated on several productions during a five year partnership. Michael received his BFA from Chapman University in Theatre with an emphasis in Directing and his MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School. He was fortunate enough to study under the late Gene Saks, Stuart Vaughn, Barbara Poitier, and Elizabeth Kemp as well as members of the SITI Company, The Wooster Group, and Shakespeare & Company. Michael enjoys cooking for others, watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, crossing items off of lists, and thrives when collaborating with other artists, philanthropists, and experts across all disciplines.
